Kids, career, coffee on loop. Real, raw & a little quirky every day. Perfectly imperfect.

  • Hi, it’s me… Mama Mode Jo.

I’m a mom of three and completely in love with my husband of ten years. The saying “the days are long, but the years are short” couldn’t be more true.

Every day feels like a race—a race to the finish line, a race of survival—fueled by hope, coffee, and a little bit of goodwill. Somehow, you just try to make it through unscathed by the inevitable bumps, scrapes, and chaos that come with this season of life.

    Why I’m Writing

I’ve often thought about writing down our story—how we got here, where we’ve been, and where we hope to go. So today is the day.

The day I start sharing our mayhem—our perfectly imperfect, beautiful disaster of a life. Some posts may be short and sweet, others long and drawn out. But they’ll always be real. And they’ll always be the story of us.

I hope this space can be a light at the end of a dark tunnel, or the laugh someone needs on a rough day. But most importantly, I want you to know—you are not alone.

    Meet My People

My oldest is 15 and counting down the days until she gets her driver’s permit. She’s my mini-me, a true cut-and-paste. She’s also my bestie—the one who made me a mom.

My middle is 8. She has big feelings and a laugh that melts my heart every time. She loves music—it rights her every day.

My youngest, our son, is 7. He’s wild, unpredictable, and my little love.

And then there’s my husband—the love of my life. We’ve built something pretty great together. Both of us work full-time. I work from home, and he’s hybrid—sometimes in the office, sometimes sharing my home office with me.

    The Reality of Mom Mode

As a full-time working mom who balances the house in more ways than one, I often feel stretched thin. Sometimes, even used by my family.

While I wouldn’t trade this life for anything, the exhaustion is real. What our kids (and yes, even my husband at times) don’t realize is that we feel it all.

    Every. Single. Emotion.

The highs and lows. The anxiety. The uncertainty. But most importantly—the love.

    A New Beginning

I’m excited to finally carve out the time to start this journey.

So, welcome. Grab a cup of coffee and tune in as I share pieces of our chaos, our joy, and our story. Because if there’s one thing I know, it’s this: life may be messy, but it’s ours—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
